Comic book artist Ronald Wimberly has created works highlighting historic black figures. His book Black History In Its Own Words presents portraits and quotes of black icons. VICE interviewed Wimberly at the Annual Black Comic Book Festival discussing his work and the representation of African Americans in Comics:
